Lil-lets donates over 3 000 sanitary products to four Namibian schools

THE Namibian edition of Lil-lets Girls Supporting Girls campaign donated over 3 000 sanitary products to four schools, namely the Hage G. Geingob Secondary School, Oshakati Secondary School, Coastal High School, and C.S Branett High School.

According to Lil-lets, the campaign, which ran from 7 February, aimed to reward consumers and communities by solving real problems for girls in need. As such, the feminine hygiene company put out a call to consumers to assist disadvantaged young girls by purchasing two Lil-lets products, one for themselves and one for a young girl in need. By doing so consumers also stood a chance to win a N$3 000 cash prize.

“I received a call that I have won the campaign cash prize of N$3 000. It was unbelievable. When I went to the school handover the one teacher mentioned that they were running out of sanitary towels so they are really happy and grateful to Lil-lets,” one of the winners said.

Lil-lets said that the campaign will assist in driving awareness about the need for sanitary products in less fortunate communities.

Monica Pineas, also known as Top Cheri, helped drive the campaign in Namibia and said “being involved in the Girls Supporting Girls campaign is such an honour. My passion lies in assisting young girls. I am grateful to be a part of the campaign, which has given me the opportunity to educate girls about sanitary products,” she added.
