THE Namibian police at Mariental, Hardap Region, have arrested a 20-year-old man for the suspected contravention of the Arms and Ammunition Act (Act 7 of 1996).
The suspect, who was arrested Saturday afternoon, was allegedly found in possession of a firearm without a valid license.
He was apprehended at a shebeen where he tried to sell a Ruger SRC 9mm pistol and a magazine containing four rounds.
The value of the gun and respective ammunition is still unknown.
