A 23-YEAR-OLD woman accused of murdering and burying her one-year-old baby girl remains in custody after making a brief court appearance in the Outapi Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
Tusnelde Elifas faces charges of murder and defeating the course of justice after reportedly committing the horrific crime in January at Ondjindja village in the Ogongo constituency.
It is alleged that Elifas pressed a pillow on the little girl’s face until she stopped breathing and died.
It is further alleged that the suspect thereafter dug a hole behind her sleeping room and buried the body in a shallow grave.
