LIEUTENANT-GENERAL Epafras Denga Ndaitwah (retired) has donated books to the ruling Swapo Party in the Ohangwena Region.
Ndaitwah, who was the chief of the Namibian Defense Force (NDF) between 2011 and 2013, was in Ohangwena to offer short training courses to the Swapo party cadres earlier this month when he donated books valued at N$50 000 to the regional party office.
The donation consisted of 36 copies of a book titled “Strategic Leadership and Management: The Direction Pointers” and an equal number of copies of another book titled “Life and views of a soldier”.
Both books were authored by him.
Ndaitwah made another donation days later, this time donating 60 copies (valued N$42 000) to the party’s Okongo district office.
“What General Ndaitwah did is exemplary and is the kind of contribution we expect from party cadres. We sincerely hope his good example will be followed by many others,” said Trophimus Mbekele, Okongo district coordinator.
He described the books as “excellent reading”.
“We have given copies to those in leadership positions such as our constituency and local authority councillors. The remainder of the books is available to anyone who is interested. The price is N$350 a copy,” said Mbekele.
