THE heavy rain that fell in the Erongo region on Thursday created spectacular scenes at the Spitzkoppe.
Joachim Friederich sent videos taken in the area where workers at the Spitzkoppe Community Rest Camp said more than 30 mm fell in 30 minutes.
They added that a number of tourists got stuck when trying to cross the Spitzkoppe River but there were no serious incidents reported.
Travellers in the area should remain cautious as more rain is predicted over the weekend.
