THE two German couples reported missing in Namibia since 30 January, have been found at the remote Sesfontein hamlet.
Family members abroad and the German Embassy in Windhoek sent out distress calls, asking for assistance to help find Dietmar and Katrin Windisch, and Michael and Steffanie Schumann, all from Berlin.
By late Friday, a family member informed Informanté all four have arrived in Sesfontein safely but all information available was that their rental car’s tracking device was not working.

The four German nationals left Opuwo on 26 January to visit OvaHimba and were supposed to return to Opuwo after four days but did not report back to their families in Germany.
They were driving a white Toyota Land Cruiser SC, reportedly hired from Bushlore that could not log the vehicle’s whereabouts.
When Sebastian Kutzner, son-in-law of Dietmar and Katrin, spoke to Informanté from Munich on Friday morning, he said the families were very concerned.
“The last time we spoke to them was on 26 January,” he said.
“They should have been back in Opuwo by 30 January but have been missing since.”
The German Embassy assisted in the search and all lodges in the area were asked to be on the lookout.
On Friday late afternoon after the good news was received, Kutzner said the families are very relieved and thanked everybody who assisted in the search.
