WELL-KNOWN northern boxer Hedison Nghipondoka from Bulelo Boxing Academy claims that anger mislead him to quit boxing and become a promoter in 2021.
Nghipondoka said that he had to get anger management therapy to realise that his retirement from boxing was an error.
He made the remarks during a press briefing held by MTC Kilimanjaro Boxing Club on Thursday at Ongwediva.
“It was just a mistake I made in anger. I am still a promoter and boxer,” he said.
Nghipondoka is expected to go head-to-head with Michael Benhard from MTC Kilimanjaro Boxing Club on 5 March at the Ongwediva Multi-purpose Centre.
Nghipondoka promised to teach Benhard how to box in the ring as he “is still a small boy”.
Benhard was quick to respond, calling Nghipondoka an “old man” who has nothing on him.
“Nghipondoka has been calling me out for far too long, and I will put him down,” he said.
“Talk is cheap and Nghipondoka continues to run his mouth,” added Benhard.
Nghipondoka indicated that Benhard continues to talk nonsense. “You fought nobody, you are a small boy and have been running away from me,” was his message to Benhard.
