THE Cancer Association of Namibia (CAN) will be hosting several community clinics in the Kunene Region through its National Cancer Outreach Programme in February.
For women, Pap smears for cervical cancer and breast examinations for breast cancer will be done.
Men aged 45 years and older will get PSA rapid tests and health checks for prostate cancer.
The clinic services are free but only 100 women and 40 men can be accommodated per day.
Women are to bring a night gown or cloth wrap for Pap smear procedures.
The clinic dates, time and venues are as follows: Monday, 7 February 10:00 at Outjo MoHSS Clinic (screening in partnership between CAN and MoHSS teams); 10:00 at Khorixas MoHSS Clinic, Wednesday, 9 February 09:00 at Sesfontein Community Clinic; Thursday, 10 February 09:00 at Anabeb Community Clinic; Friday, 11 Feb 09:00 at Bergsig Community Clinic in the Torra Conservancy.
