ABOUT 4 000 community members of Onghalulu West in the Okongo constituency of the Ohangwena region will no longer have to travel long distances to access medical facilities.
The regional councillor of Okongo, Lebeus Efraim Shipindo, officially inaugurated the new outreach facility at Onghalulu recently where healthcare workers from district hospitals will once a month assist those needing medical care.
According to Shipindo, the construction was made possible through the cooperation of community members who used their own funds to make this possible.
“I am delighted and grateful about this good initiative of the community and all stakeholders,” he said.
