A 60-YEAR-OLD Namibian woman was among four people arrested for drug-related crimes in Swakopmund on Friday.
The woman was found in possession of 40 grams of cannabis stashed in a Ziplock bag during a police search of her vehicle at the roadblock just outside the coastal town around 10:50.
According to the Erongo police, the drugs are valued at N$2 000.
Later the day, a 29-year-old Namibian man was arrested in Vineta around 17:40 for dealing and alternatively possession. One big and five medium bags of cannabis totaling 53.94 grams, five units of crack cocaine, 1.6 g of crack cocaine powder, 16.23 g of cocaine powder, 30 capsules MDMA and 23.29 g of MDMA were confiscated. The drugs are valued at N$25 434.
Around 20:00, also in Vineta, two Namibian men aged 41 and 42 respectively were arrested for dealing and alternatively possession. The police confiscated 114 units of crack cocaine valued at N$11 400.
All four suspects will appear in the Swakopmund Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Police investigation continues.
