EIGHT Namibians, including four teenagers, are due to appear in the Opuwo Magistrate’s Court after they allegedly caused grievous bodily harm to an elderly man who they accused of witchcraft and attacked with sticks and stones.
According to the weekend crime report, the incident happened on Saturday around 10:00 at Otjakati Tjovahimba village.
It is alleged that eight Namibian male suspects intentionally and unlawfully hit the 61-year-old male Namibian complainant with stones and sticks on his head, back and legs after accusing him of witchcraft.
The victim sustained injuries.
The adult suspects are respectively 30, 25, 22 and 21 years old, and the rest are three teenagers aged 15 and one aged 16.
All eight suspects are due to appear in court on Monday.
Police investigation continues.
