At a time when the Covid-19 pandemic has left a trail of grief and sorrow in its wake, the Namibian Police, under the leadership of the Inspector General of the force, Lieutenant General Sebastian Ndeitunga, has brought joy to a grade 12 learner in Windhoek.
The police gave the matric learner a once in a lifetime opportunity to have her matric farewell photoshoot at the police helipad, situated at the police headquarters in Windhoek.
The photoshoot took place a few weeks ago under close monitoring by officials due to its sensitive nature, which include security inspection and safety concerns of both the photographer and the models.
While expressing that the photoshoot was granted as a gesture to demonstrate national pride and to support the future generation’s development, as well as motivate and promote good corporate-social responsibility, it will not be a regular feature.
This is because the police helipad is considered national infrastructure with high security, and safety concerns means it is not easily accessible to the general public.
