AN in-and-out of prison 22-year-old man yesterday viciously slit the throat of his 62-year-old father with a panga at Ongha in the Ohangwena Region.
The brutal killing comes barely 24 hours after an Omusati man was arrested on Friday after slitting the throat of his long time girlfriend and mother of his children.
According to the Namibian police weekend crime report, the latest incident happened on Saturday, 18 September, at about 20:00, at the Oshuulula village, Endola Constituency.
It is alleged that the 22-years-old troublesome suspect instantly killed his biological father with a panga by cutting his throat, as well as both hands.

The suspected murder weapon has been recovered and the suspect has been arrested.
The police believes that the motive behind the crime may be revenge as the suspect was released from the Oshakati police Station holding cells on 10 September 2021, after his parents opened a case of malicious damage to property against him after he destroyed goods in the house.
He also burned down his own sleeping hut few months ago.
Police investigations continue.
In the incident on Friday in the Omusati Region, a 32-year-old man killed his girlfriend and mother to his three children by slitting her throat at the Oluno village.
The 26-year-old Magano Aino Ilonga, a mother to two girls and one boys, ages eight and four years, as well as a nine-month-old baby, was declared dead at the scene after she was slit with an okapi knife.
