MEMBERS of Parliament will debate the re-appointment of Paulus Noa as the Director-General of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) after the motion was held today.
President Hage Geingob called for a special session of the National Assembly where the appointment of a new head of the anti-corruption body and the appointment of three new members of the Electoral Commission of Namibia were to be discussed.
During today’s session, Geingob nominated Elsie Nghikembua to be appointed as the new Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Namibia.
Emmerentia Leonard and former director of elections, Joram Rukambe, were nominated as new electoral commissioners.
The special session of the National Assembly will resume at 14:30 tomorrow and Informanté News will again share the live broadcast from Parliament.
