THE Kalume quintuplets that were born in the Windhoek Central Hospital earlier this week and their mother, Hilia are in good spirits and doing extremely well.
The five babies that were born prematurely are in the expert hands of nurses in doctors and are getting stronger each day they spend in the incubation machine.
Hilia Kalume said her older children are very excited to see the new babies. She said the older siblings of the quintuplets are on their way back home after spending the school holidays with family in the Omusati Region.
When Informanté spoke to Hilia this afternoon she said that the infants are getting stronger each day.
She said doctors advised her to spend as much time as possible with the quintuplets which means that she will remain in the hospital for at least another week.
The babies will have to stay in their incubator in the central hospital for the next three months.
