CHILDREN walking past a mahangu field discovered the body of the 45-year-old Frans Kafo where it hung from Marula early on Tuesday morning.
Omusati Regional Commander, Commissioner Titus Shikongo, said the discovery was made at around 06:00 in the area of the Oneeya village in the Okalongo constituency.
Shikongo stated that the deceased person was last seen alive two hours before his body was discovered while he was standing at the door of his sleeping room by some children who went to fetch water at a nearby well.
“The deceased person’s body was discovered two hours later by the same children. He had a green and white rope around his neck,” he said.
According to Shikongo, no suicide note was left behind and he added that the investigation into the matter will continue.
