THE Brave Warriors will contest in the second round of the 2022 FIFA Soccer World Cup qualifiers for African nations from June to October this year.
The national football team will compete in Group H along with Senegal, Togo, and the Congo. Only the group winner will progress to the third and final round of the world cup qualifiers.
Due to the break imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the African qualifiers will be played from the end of May until the middle of October with some back-to-back match-days for some of the teams.
The Brave Warriors will host the Congo between 5 and 8 June and will play away against Togo a week later from 11 to 15 June.

The qualifiers will then resume in September and the Warriors will visit group favourites Senegal from 1 to 4 September. The very next week Namibia will play host to Senegal for the return matches.
Brazzaville will be the next venue for the qualifiers when the Namibians will play away in the Congo from 6 to 9 October before returning home to host Togo from 11 to 12 October.
Once the second round is completed the ten top teams will progress to the third round will be drawn into new groups to battle for a spot in the 2022 FIFA Soccer World Cup in Qatar.
The 2022 event will be the 22nd edition of the FIFA Soccer World Cup and it is scheduled to take place in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December 2022.
