THE Namibian Police in the Erongo Region has requested the public to assist them in tracing two people that have gone missing from their homes in Arandis.
One of the missing people is the 17-year-old Prisma Uiras, who left the home of her older sister on 28 February after they had a fight about mobile phone privileges.
According to the missing person report provided by NamPol, the girl left home while her older sister was attending a church service.
Before she left the house, Prisma told another family member that she is travelling to Swakopmund and that she is not coming back because her older sister took away her mobile phone during the week while she has to attend school or during the time that she needs to study at home.
According to the report, Prisma is still in contact with her older sister but she is refusing to reveal her whereabouts.
The second person that was reported missing in Arandis, is the 46-year-old David Viviers Smuts, who left his home early on Monday morning for a doctor’s appointment in Swakopmund.
According to the report Smuts has not been seen or heard of since Monday.
He is described as being tall, skinny, and light in complexion. He was wearing a pair of dark grey pants, a black T-shirt, and a pair of black sneakers when he left home.
It is believed that he has a friend or family member that resides in Swakopmund.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the two missing persons is requested to contact Deputy Commissioner Iikuyu at 081 246 4757, Detective Warrant Officer Jacobs at 081 335 3851 or to contact the nearest Police Station.
