PROMINENT Walvis Bay legal practitioner, Advocate Shakespeare Masiza, who served on the boards of various Namibian state-owned enterprises, has passed away at the age of 50 after a short sickbed.
The late Advocate Masiza served as the chairperson of the Namib Desert Diamonds (Namdia) board of directors until 2018. He also served in the same capacity on the board of the Namibian Ports Authority (NamPort) during the mid-2000s.
Advocate Masiza also practised law through his firm Masiza Law Chambers in Walvis Bay.
The community of Walvis Bay and many other people in Namibia reacted with shock when news of Advocate Masiza’s death broke on Monday evening.
