THE different main roads leading to Otavi from Kombat and Tsumeb had to be closed after a sudden cloudburst where more than 80 millimetres of rain fell.
Motorists have been urged to drive cautiously when approaching Otavi as large pools are still covering the road surface.
The cautionary notice was issued after one vehicle driving at high speed and left the road as a result of aquaplaning.
