QUICK police action has produced results within hours after an armed robbery incident was reported at NamPost at Oshigambo in the Oshikoto Region.
Regional police commander, Commissioner Armas Shivute reported this afternoon that two of the three suspected armed robbers, who targeted the NamPost branch on Wednesday morning, have been arrested.
Their getaway car was also found.
The third suspect is, however, still on the run, and the stolen money, an amount of N$65 152, has not been recovered. The third suspect is, however, still on the run, and the stolen money, an amount of N$65 152, has not been recovered.
Commissioner Shivute was vague on where exactly the suspects were found, perhaps not wanting to reveal information that might jeopardize the police circle that is tightening around the suspect who is still on the run.
He said that there are strong indications that the suspected NamPost robbers might be the same gang that robbed a Chinese shop at Eenhana on Tuesday.
