TWO unemployed youth from Ruakana in Kaokoland, Epalela have decided to eradicate the building of shacks houses in villages by producing manually 3000 bricks within 4 days.
A 37-year-old Mbenandino Kaluvapa and 29-year-old Uaripi Kaluvapa were looking after cattle’s in Otjinene constituency and they decided to work for a construction company where they got their skills from.
Mbenadino decided to come up with their own initiative to start their own brick company because allot of villages are staying in shack houses where they need to help the community by travelling all around the regions to create bricks so that villages can build their own brick houses.
“We have been all over the 14 regions people have called us and we want to help the community and the community should help us to bring the changes, “said Mbenandino.
He said they only need is 75 bags of cement rivers sand and 5 000 litres of water and they have started with this initiative in 2014.
Farmers and Villages have been travelling distance to drive to towns and buy bricks and still drive back so they have decided to make life easy for the farmers and villagers by creating employment for ourselves as youths.
Namibia Statistic Agency shows that Namibia unemployment rate is at 364, 411 (33.4 %).
