UNKOWN burglars that broke into the Kondjeni Youth Enterprise in the Northern View complex at Ongwediva during the night between 7 and 8 January and who stole electronic equipment and cash valued at N$140 000, are still at large.

According to NamPol’s inspector Thomas Aiyambo, the burglary was discovered Friday morning when employees arrived for work and found the business’s front door slightly open but without any damage.

The business owner was promptly informed and a closer observation revealed that the thieves entered through the garage door – which was found open and damaged – and left using the aluminium front door which could be opened from inside without using a key.

The deceased was part of a group of boys from the Oshikango location who went swimming in the canal in the Ompumbu area of Oshakati.

The body was retrieved by NamPol’s Special Reserve Force and taken to the police mortuary.
