THE Namibian Police Force in the Oshikoto Region has arrested an employee of the Ministry of Information, Communications, and Communication Technology for dealing in cannabis at Omuthiya.
The 35-year-old suspect, who is employed as a cleaner, was arrested on Thursday and is expected to appear before the Tsumeb Magistrate’s court.
Oshikoto Regional Commander Commissioner Armas Shivute said the arrest was made at around 16:28 on Thursday afternoon during a police search.
“We confiscated 15 grams in the suspect’s office. The illicit drugs are valued at N$1 000, while 80 grams were found at her house valued at N$3 800,” he said.
Shivute noted that police investigation into the matter continues.
