GOOD rains have been reported over large parts of eastern and central Namibia, as well as heavy storms over the Kavango east and Zambezi regions over the past few days.
As much as 80 millimetres of rain was reported at places between Rundu and Katima Mulilo on Saturday and Sunday.
Showers were also reported as far as south as Aus, Grunau and Aroab.
Sporadic showers also occurred in and around Windhoek and to the east of the capital.
Further north, people living in Okahandja, Omaruru, Otjiwarongo and Tsumeb also reported good rains since Saturday.
With regard to the rain forecast, the Namibia Meteorological Service issued a warning about heavy thundershowers in the area of Tsumkwe, as well as at places in the Omaheke, Khomas, Hardap and //Karas regions tomorrow and on Tuesday.
With regard to the weather in general, the meteorological service predicted partly cloudy and hot to very hot conditions with a few to isolated thundershowers but widespread in the eastern parts of Otjozondjupa, Khomas, Hardap, //Karas and Omaheke regions.
Coastal residents can expect partly cloudy and cool to warm weather conditions with fog patches.
