WITH Christmas just a few days away, pastors across the northern regions have made it their mission to ensure that Namibians not only adhere to COVID-19 regulations but also spend quality time with their loved ones.
Preaching to a full congregation on Sunday, during a service Informanté attended, retired pastor at Evangelical Lutheran Church of Namibia in the Oshigambo church in the Oshikoto Region, Pastor Filippus Henock, said the celebration of the birth of Christ s a few days away and that people need the Lord and saviour to free each one.
“People are chained by sins. Many rape cases are being recorded in the country, lots of theft cases and all sorts of social ills are reported every day,” said pastor Henock.
He indicated that many people have become abusers of alcohol and are looking bad in society.
Several pastors called on the residents to adhere to COVID-19 regulations during the festive season.
Currently, Namibia recorded 277 new COVID-19 confirmed cases, identified from 903 results received over the past 24 hours.
