THE Namibian Police have requested the public to help identify a severely injured man that admitted to the Swakopmund State Hospital late on Wednesday night.
According to the incident report provided by the Namibian Police in the Erongo Region, the man was only able to tell the medical staff at the hospital that his name is Jan.
“The Namibian Police in Swakopmund was informed that Jan was found lying in a pool of blood near the turnoff to Mie 14 on the main road between Swakopmund and Henties Bay at about 23:00 on Wednesday evening. The man was discovered by a person who drove past the spot where he was lying,” the report states.
According to the incident report Jan had serious injuries to his buttocks and that his left arm was broken badly. The broken bones from his arm were protruding from his left shoulder.
When he was able to speak the injured person was able to tell medical staff his name and that he fell from a moving vehicle.
Jan was admitted to the hospital in a serious condition and doctors are considering transferring him to a hospital in Windhoek for more intensive medical treatment.
