CLEMENTINE Didi, the 23-year-old woman who was reported missing on Sunday, has been found safe and sound.
Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu, the Erongo Regional Crime Investigations Coordinator, confirmed that the young woman has been traced to the house of her boyfriend.
“When the young woman realised that a countrywide search has been launched for her, she went to the Outjo Police Station and presented herself in person on Monday morning. She told the officers on duty that she is with her boyfriend and in good health. We conveyed the message to her family in Walvis Bay,” he said.
Her family got worried after she left her parents’ home on Friday morning to travel to Otjiwarongo with a lift to visit her boyfriend.
The family never heard anything from her again and became worried, prompting them to report her missing on Sunday.
The missing person report resulted in a countrywide search, which ended when the young woman presented herself to the police station in Outjo.
