A 23-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested for stabbing his 30-year-old brother, Henock Elias Amugeya, to death on Friday early at Ongatudhiya village in Omusati Region.
“It is alleged the deceased and his brother had a heated argument after they came from a cucashop. That led to a physical fight between them, said Omusati Regional Commander, Commissioner Titus Shikongo.
Shikongo added that during the physical fight, the deceased took an Okapi knife and stabbed the suspect.
“The suspect later managed to grab the knife from the deceased and in turn stabbed him in the chest, thigh, shoulder and abdomen,” said.
According to Shikongo, the deceased died on the spot, while the suspect sustained stab wounds on the shoulder, arms and in the mouth.
Shikongo noted that the suspect has been arrested and is admitted at Okahao District hospital under police guard.
He added that the deceased’s body was transported to the Okahao police mortuary pending a postmortem examination.
