INCIDENTS of criminals terrorising especially the Capital’s informal settlements with violent crimes is raising concerns, with the Namibian police reporting yet another incident of a rape before robbery, this time against a man.
According to the weekend crime bulletin, a man was raped and robbed on Saturday, 26 September, at about 03h00 in Ongete street, Okuryangava.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, was reportedly attacked by two unknown men armed with knives while on his way home.
The men reportedly undressed him, sexually assaulted him before stealing his cellphone.
No arrest nor the recovery of the cellphone has yet been made, but an investigation has been launched with the GBV unit.
