A 31-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after he allegedly raped three minor girls aged five, seven, and eight last week.
According to Omusati Regional Police Commander, Commissioner Titus Shikongo, the incidents of rape occurred on Thursday last week at the Oshitoo Village in the Tsandi Constituency.
Commissioner Shikongo said that the suspect previously worked as a domestic worker at the house where the little girls live.
“It is alleged that the suspect a former domestic worker in the house where he committed the crime came around to the house while the parents were not at home,” he said.
Shikongo indicated that the suspect allegedly had sexual intercourse with the victims after he called them individually into one of the rooms.
He pointed out that the grandmother to the victims and house owner reported the matter to the police and a criminal case was registered at the Tsandi Police Station and is still under investigation.
Shikongo noted that no domestic violence involved and the suspect was arrested, charged, and is due to appear in the Okahao Magistrate’s Court this week.
