ONE person died instantly while another was rushed to hospital with serious wounds following a brutal attack by a member of the same family this afternoon.
The incident occurred in the Omunyekadi village in the Ondobe constituency of Ohangwena.
According to chief crime investor in the region, Zachariah Amakali, a man in his 20s attacked members of his family with a panga, hacking one of them to death and leaving another one with serious wounds before fleeing the crime scene at around 16:00.
Police officers were deployed in the area and were still tracking the suspect who is said to be dangerous as he was still carrying the panga.
The police did not release details about the victims.
