THE Namibian Police is hunting for five men who have been implicated in the gang rape of a 23-year-old woman in Windhoek over the weekend.
According to the latest Namibian police crime report, on Friday, 5 June, at about 23:45 at Otjomuise, five male suspects raped the victim while she was in and out of consciousness.
It is alleged that the victim and her friend were invited for drinks. She passed out and after she regained consciousness, realised that five suspects were taking turns raping her.
No arrest have made yet.
Three more cases of rape were reported in other parts of the country.
In Nkurenkuru, a case of rape and Human Trafficking that occurred on Friday at Woerman Brock Kavango West was registered with police at the Bravo Checkpoint and Tsumeb.
It is alleged that a 19-year-old girl was raped by two truck drivers at Woerman Brock, Rundu and they drove with her to Tsumeb where they told her to get out of the truck where they left her.
The truck is said to belong to Namib Mills.
In another incident of child rape occurred on Saturday between 18:00 and 19:00 in the afternoon when a 13-year-old girl was raped by a 33-year-old male.
The suspect was arrested and police investigations continue.
