TWO young men, Jonathan Patrick Myburgh and Jannie Jansen van Vuuren, are on the run after killing a man, who they accused of stealing a small bottle of glue from the Savemore Etemba Plaza Supermarket in Otjiwarongo.
According to the incident report provided by the Public Relations Division of the Namibian Police the brutal attack occurred on Wednesday.
Myburgh, the owner of a local security company in Otjiwarongo and his employer, Jansen van Vuuren severely assaulted the 43-year-old Zimbabwean national, who makes a living as a street vendor.
After assaulting him the two young men left the severely injured victim on the street.
Later that afternoon at around 17:00 people walking home after work discovered the man laying in the street in front of Northern Motors.
The injured victim was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries shortly afterwards.
Myburgh and Jansen van Vuuren fled from Otjiwrongo after the attack on the street vendor and are believed to be hiding on a farm in the area of either Tsumeb or Grootfontein.
The Namibian Police requested the public’s assistance in tracing the two murder suspects.
