THE public’s assistance is required to help trace the 41-year-old Erastus Sihala who was last seen at the house he shares with his brother in the Tutaleni residential area of Kuisebmond in Walvis Bay.
According to the missing persons report provided by the Namibian Police in the Erongo Region, Shihala was last seen on Wednesday evening. He left the house in Aasvoel Street at about 20:00 after an argument with his brother and was described as very unhappy at the time.
Later on Wednesday evening he sent his brother a text message to inform him that he is approaching the sea.
On Thursday morning a team that was formed to search for the missing person found Shihala’s wallet with his ID, discarded clothes and his mobile phone on Independence Beach. No sign of the missing man was found.
According to the missing persons report the team searching for Shihala patrolled the immediate area where his belongings were found but had no success in finding him.
Any person who might have information regarding the whereabouts of the missing Erastus Shihala is requested to contact the nearest police station or his immediate family in Walvis Bay.
