THE 13th person to be diagnosed with COVID-19 in Namibia has made a full recovery which leaves the country with only four active cases.
The Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr. Kalumbi Shangula while speaking at the National COVID-19 Information Centre said the remaining four cases are clinically in a satisfactory condition.
Dr. Shangula said that against all odds, Namibia is doing relatively well with regard to low COVID-19 infection rate. No COVID-19 related deaths has been reported in the country.
The Minister said the current situation can be attributed to early interventions such as the State of Emergency that was implemented to suppress the transmission of the virus.
Case number 13 is the third recovery from COVID-19 announced by the health ministry in Namibia over the past week.
