Former Ohangwena Regional Governor Usko Nghaamwa has been described as a man in a class of his own and filling his shoes would prove to be a daunting task.
This was revealed by newly appointed Regional Governor Walde Ndevashiya, while unveiling new strategic development plans for the region.
According to Ndevashiya the founding Governor Billy Mwaningange and Usko Nghaamwa served their people selflessly and by extension, all Namibians.
“I am however fortunate and grateful that I am taking over from Usko at the time that the foundation he laid is strong enough for me to consolidate and continue building on,” he said.
Ndevashiya pointed out that there are a number of projects and initiatives that were left incomplete by the former governor.
“We will continue where he left off and see them to their logical conclusion,” stated Ndevashiya.
