TOWNS in the central northern parts of Namibia for a second consecutive day received good rain showers which are slowly filling the oshanas with life giving water.
Although not official residents of Ongwediva reported as much as 70 millimetres of rain since Thursday while Ondangwa received as much as 20 millimetres of rain. Some showers were also reported further north towards the border at Oshikango.
According to the Namibia Meteorological Service the central norther and north eastern parts of the country can expect more thundershowers for the rest of Friday and Saturday. The eastern parts of Namibia also stand a good chance to receive rain in the form of isolated thundershowers over the weekend.
The Karas region particularly will by sunny and very hot while the rest of the country can expect partly cloudy but hot to very hot weather.
Coastal residents can expect partly cloudy and cool to warm weather conditions with fog patches in the mornings while some rain is likely to fall over parts of the coast in the south.
