BUSINESS expos continue to provide excellent networking and marketing opportunities for entrepreneurs and consumers alike.

This was revealed by Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, during the official opening of the Helao Nafidi business expo that started earlier on Monday. The Priem Minister said that the event brings business people and consumers together where strategic business alliances are formed.

According to Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, the holding of the expo guarantees the business community and members of the public with the opportunity to be introduced to some new products, and surely for the children opportunities for entertainment.

“It’s critical that business owners have avenues, such as this expo, where they can learn and exchange ideas. Peer-to-peer interaction is incredibly valuable. It can build skills, connections and confidence,” she said, adding that for the networking alone, the business expo is a must,” she said.

She stated that expos provide a unique and unmatched chance for entrepreneurs to unlock new opportunities for their businesses.

“Not only do you gain insight and advice about practical and critical issues that can propel your business forward, you also interact and network with potential collaborators who have access to game-changing business and better career opportunities,” cited Kuugongelwa-Amadhila.

She noted that the expo takes place at a time when the economic situation in the country and globally is experiencing a down turn.

“Under such a difficult economic situation, and against a general background of cut throat competition brought about by globalization, the businesses need to be focused, innovative and forge strategic alliances, if they are to survive.”

The Prime Minister also urged local businesses to forge twining arrangements with their foreign counterparts that are also participating in the event.

Queen Martha Mwadinomho Kristian Nelumbo of the Oukwanyama Traditional Authority, Ohangwena Regional Governor, Usko Nghaamwa was among the dignitaries that attended the official opening of the event.
