Argentina claimed their first scalp in their 2019 Rugby World Cup campaign during their second Pool C match by beating Tonga 28 -12.
The Pumas started brightly as Julian Montoya scored the opening two tries and Santiago Carreras added a third.
Hooker Montoya completed his hat-trick to secure the bonus-point in the 25th minute before Telusa Veainu scored Tonga’s first try of the tournament.
Veainu crossed the line again after receiving a nifty pass following the break.
Argentina threatened to cut loose after securing a bonus point in the first half, but Tonga came back into the game, tackled well, attacked better and restricted Los Pumas to a pointless second half.
