Namibia to face Ghana in friendly

THE Brave Warriors will take on the Black Stars of Ghana in their first pre-2019 Africa Cup of Nations friendly match in Dubai later on Sunday.
Like the Brave Warriors, the Black Stars have been camping in the Gulf country to prepare and test their battle readiness for the Afcon 2019 tournament in Egypt that is set to kick off later this month.
Namibian National Coach Ricardo Mannetti said the Warriors are doing their final preparation for Afacon 2019 in the Gulf to acclimatise. Weather conditions are similar to that of Egypt where temperatures in summer can easily soar to 40 degrees Celsius.
For Afcon 2019 Namibia drawn in Group D and will play Morocco on 23 June before taking on South Africa on 28 June both at the Al Salam Stadium.
They will play their final group game against Ivory Coast on 1 July at the Cairo International Stadium.
Namibia’s Afcon 2019 squad is as follows: Ratanda Mbazuvara, Virgil Vries, Loydt Kazapua, Max Mbaeva, Ryan Nyambe, Larry Horaeb, Chris Katjiukua, Teberius Lombard, Denzil Haoseb, Ivan Kamberipa, Charles Hambira, Riaan Hanamub, Ananias Gebhardt, Absalom Iimbondi, Willy Stephanus, Petrus Shitembi, Ronald Ketjijere, Dynamo Fredericks, Marcel Papama, Wesley Katjiteo, Manfred Starke, Benjamen Nenkavu, Deon Hotto, Itamunua Keimuine, Benson Shilongo, Peter Shalulile, Joslyn Kamatuka and Isaskar Gurirab.
