South Africa suffers third defeat against India

Sports Reporter
A gutsy century by Rohit Sharma and sensational bowling by Yuzvendra Chahal ensured India for a six-wicket victory over South Africa in their first match of the 2019 Cricket World Cup tournament at Southampton.
The excellent partnerships of the Indian batsmen handed South Africa their third consecutive defeat in the tournament. It is the first time the Proteas have lost three matches in a row at a World Cup.

After opting to bat South Africa ended their inning with a score 227 for 9 settin the target for India
After shining with bat, Kagiso Rabada gave India the first jolt by dismissing Shikhar Dhawan in the sixth over with just 13 runs on the board.
Virat Kohli then tried to steady the innings along with Sharma but Andile Phehlukwayo got rid of the Indian skipper just after they crossed the 50-run mark. Kohli failed to judge the extra bounce by Phehlukwayo and edged it towards the man behind the stump Quinton de Kock who took an absolute stunner to send the Indian captain off.
As India was moving slowly towards the target, Rabada struck again in the 32nd over to send KL Rahul back to the stands after his 85-run stand for the third wicket with Rohit Sharma. But MS Dhoni supported Sharma well to pull off a solid win for India.
