Zambian man killed in car crash

THE 30-year-old Namakamba Mukosa, Zambian national that was on way way back to his country of rigen after collecting a vehicle imported through the port of Walvis Bay died as a result of a motor vehicle accident late on Thursday evening.

 

According to the incident report provided by the Namibian Police in the Erongo region, the fatal crash occurred at about 23:00approximately 30 kilometres outside Arandis on the way to Usakos.

 

It is suspected that Mukosa lost control over the vehicle which caused it to leave the road and overturn. The accident was reported to the authorities and an ambulance was dispatched to the scene, he however succumbed to his injuries by the time help arrived.

According to the report Mukosa was alone in the vehicle but he was driving in a convoy f imported vehicle that were on their way to Zambia.

 

One of his colleagues, Kennedy Sichamba, who was driving another vehicle in front of the deceased person, told police officers he was alerted to his countryman’s misfortune by the driver of an oncoming minibus who saw the crash occur behind him.

 

The Namibian Police in the Erongo Region indicated that the family of the deceased person was traced and informed about his death.
