A three-day Namibian Women Summit that is underway in Windhoek will address the challenges faced by women to share ideas and to discuss workable solution to issues faced by woman under the theme Women, ‘Nurturing dreams, reaping results’.
Namibia Women Summit President, Anne Thandeka Gerhardt said the summit this year aims at assisting women to live their dreams. The summit will be attended representatives from the regions in Namibia.
The Namibian Women Summit was the first to intentionally use local speakers to expose the talent that Namibian women have.
“We have improved our performance every year because we listen to the inputs given to us by the participants” said Thandeka.
This first summit laid the foundation of what became an annual event for the women in Namibia. The speakers and presenters always display a very high quality of expertise in their field and they are highly appreciated by the participants.
The summit this year aims at assisting women to live their dreams. The presenters will be looking at applying their professional coaching skills to share the tools needed by the participants to live their life in full in their personal lives, professional and in their communities.
Thandeka further noted that this was carefully chosen to support the call by President Hage Geingob who has declared 2019 as a year of accountability.
She lastly indicated that the Namibian Women Summit is living the dream.
“Let us join forces again and make sure that the participants of this 13th Namibian Women Summit emerge from this three day life-changing event with vigour, determination and success in whatever they do.”
During the first day of the summit some of the women recommended that the summit must be used as a platform to share the most important national issues where women could play a vital role to contribute towards the economic development of our country.
