THE Braves Warriors left for Madagascar this morning for the final round first leg match of the 2020 CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.
Interim coach Bobby Samaria will name his final 23 Warriors after tonight’s training session and has made it clear that the goal remain to get a positive result away from home.
“Just like we did with Comoros and Eritrea away from home, we need to continue that kind of start and finish the job at home. We have the players to do so and again we rely on them to make the work easy for us as coaches. We have so much talent and it’s all about finding the right balance,” said Samaria.
He added that Madagascar will not be an easy opponent on Sunday, 22 September, adding that their ranking will not matter on the day.
”They had a good AFCON campaign and are ranked higher than we are and that gives them motivation, but we have the right to get the good result and we are capable of that. I just hope the boys will have the same hunger and determination they have showed thus far”, Samaria stated.
Apart from the squad, Wangu Gome, Petrus Shitembi and Pat-Nevin Uanivi are part of training group.
