STAFF members at the Namutoni Resort in Etosha are under fire following the discovery of a Giraffe carcass in the tourist shop at the camp.
According to Environment ministry Spokesperson Romeo Muyunda, investigations to establish whether or not the meat was legally stored are underway. The Namibia Wildlife Resorts Acting Managing Director, Matthias Ngwangwama also confirmed that an investigation into the matter was launched.
“We would like to inform the public that this matter is receiving our greatest attention. I would also like to appreciate the efforts of those members of the public who brought this under our attention. We want to assure them that such incidences will not be allowed to persist at our resorts. To those who allowed this situation to prevail, they should know that their behavior is damaging the good name of our company,” Ngwangwama said.
