THE First National Bank donated water purifying containers valued at N$47,700 to Bloukrans, Baumgartsbrunn and Nicolas Witbooi Memorial Primary Schools in the wake of the ongoing drought in the country.

The schools each received three containers.

“As a business, FNB has the responsibility to contribute to a healthy teaching and learning environment and to support the nation for equitable prosperity and ensuring a sustainable inclusive economy. It is thus with great pleasure that FNB Namibia, through the FirstRand Namibia Foundation Trust, assists the learners of the primary schools with water purifying containers,” Revonia Kahivere, FirstRand Namibia Foundation Trust, Corporate Social Investment Manager, said.

Responding to the sponsorship on behalf of the three school principals, Director of Education in the Khomas region, Gerhard Vries, thanked FNB as a corporate citizen for demonstrating commitment to the development of the country over the years.

“We sincerely thank them and we are committed to ensuring that their sponsorship is appropriately used for the benefit of the children,” Vries maintained.
