Transport for Heroes’ Day finalised

MEMBERS of the public that would like to attend the Heroes’ Day Celebrations in Otjiwarongo will be able to make use of free transport to and from the event organised by the Namibian Government.
The Otjozondjupa Region was selected as the host for this year’s event that will take place on Monday 26 August 2019 at the Paresis Stadium in Otjiwarongo. The gates to the event will open at 06:00 while the program of the day will start shortly after.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology buses are organised to pick people up from designated points from 05:00 on Monday 26 August. Tsumkwe Constituency residents will be picked up from the Constituency Office on Sunday 25 August.
The buses will return to these pick-up points after the commemoration event comes to an end.

The list of the pick-up points are as follows:

– Swanevelder Hall
– Orwetoveni Clinic
Okahandja Constituency
– Okahandja Constituency Office
Omatako Constituency
– Omatako Constituency Office
Otavi Constituency
– Otavi Constituency Office
– Neusamarau
Okakarara Constituency
– Okakarara Constituency Office
Grootfontein Constituency
– Grootfontein Constituency Office
Tsumkwe Constiuency
– Tsumkwe Constituency Office

In a previous statement the Executive Director of the Ministry of Information, and Communication Technology, Mbeuta Ua-Ndjarakana, urged members of the public to attend the commemoration of Heroes’ Day in large numbers.
