THREE men found in possession of ten bags of dagga were arrested at the African Market in Swakopmund on Friday.
According to Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu, the Erongo Regional Crime investigations Coordinator, Nelly Kameja (35), Sindimba Matheus (38) and the 38-year-old Kambongi Simon Kufuna were found in possession of ten bankies of dagga during a special police action.
He said the 25 grams of dagga is valued at N$250 and the three suspects are set to appear in the Swakopmund Magistrate Court later today.
n a separate incident the 22-year-old Andia Jager was arrested at house no. 544, Natilungwe Street in the DRC suburb of Mondesa on Thursday evening when she was found in possession of dagga and several Mandrax tablets.
“The narcotics team found the suspect with ten full Mandrax tablets, 25 quarters Mandrax tablets, half a parcel of dagga and 25 smaller bags of dagga known as ballies. The entire drug haul is estimated to be worth about N$2 675.”
The suspect already made her first appearance in the Walvis Bay Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
