THIS week, youth countrywide flocked to the Namibian Correctional Service (NCS) facilities in the hopes of getting employment.
Public Relation officer of the Namibian Correctional Service, Petrus Silas, said amongst the close to 10,000 applications received; only 120 will be recruited for the available vacancies.
Those shortlisted will be tested for fitness and a thorough background check will be conducted.
Silas said the correction service is amazed by the high turn up and that it was no important to have a fair and transparent selection process.
Some of the candidate who were at the venue, however, expressed disappointment at the process, which they said was tedious due to the long list of people that applied.
